INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY
Hi, you! We're mixing up our newsletter a little this week, in the name of International Women's Day 2022. Facilitating careers in tech for women is a topic close to our heart, and we're so proud to have a growing female-strong team, many of whom we first met as Narchie sellers.Keep reading to meet some of our team, and join us in celebrating our favourite woman artists and designers today.#togetherwethrive

Eileen Gray is inspirational to me. She was a pioneer of the Modern Movement across architecture and interiors, her designs have endured and are now design classics, influences of which can be found all around us in contemporary design today and for me that's magical.

Betty Woodman is one of my favourite artists! She made really bright ceramics and would create installations with ceramic walls and rugs. It was completely different to the controlled, minimalist stuff that was being made in the 70s.

I love Marianne North. Iโve actually seen her paintings at Kew Gardens which I really adore. I use florals a lot in my photography work so naturally Iโm drawn to Marianne's ability to capture the beauty of them in her paintings!

Beata Heuman's work is so inspiring for me - I love her ethos that every room should sing! She's always ahead of interiors trends and her rooms draw on so many different influences. Designing her own furniture and lighting makes every project stand out from other designers.

One of my favourite artists is Marie Gabrielle-Capet. I love her because she was one of the very few to get accepted into the Royal Academy of Art and had clients including the royal family. She was a true trailblazer of her time!

I love Rose Electra Harris's bold, vibrant and colourful paintings. Her pieces have a dreamlike quality which I really enjoy, and I love the clashing of colours and shapes. I would love to have one in my house one day to brighten up any wall!

I love Anna Castelli Ferrieri, bit of an obvious one but an absolute icon - she's an Italian architect and furniture designer. She cofounded the Italian furniture company Kartell with her husband Guilio Castelli. She created designs that are still absolute icons today.
