2023: A NEW YEAR TO CHANGE OLD HABITS

Hi, you!

Happy New Year! We're officially in 2023 and we couldn't be more excited for the year ahead. Often with the return of January we're preparing resolutions for the year, and today we're letting you know why your homeware shopping habits should be one of them.

We are looking to be more sustainable in our day to day lives, but one area often overlooked is our homeware and furniture consumption. In fact 1.6 million tonnes of bulky waste - 42% of which is furniture, equating to 670,000 tonnes is sent to landfill in the UK each year - 50% of which is reusable.

As well as landfill waste, mass produced furniture is also contributing to global deforestation and increases in harmful greenhouse emissions.

We're great believers that making small changes can make a big impact. By supporting independent brands, choosing vintage or preloved items before new, and buying artisan made & bespoke pieces instead of mass produced items significantly reduces your environmental footprint. Looking for inspiration? We've curated a list of gorgeous unique pieces to add to your home that prove that the sustainable option definitely doesn't mean you have to comprise on style.
