Interior stylist and digital creator Patricia Rodi chooses her favourite items from the Narchie feed, and lets us in on the childhood memories that shape her cosy-yet-contemporary home. What is your best interior decorating tip? 

The temptation to rush is the biggest enemy when decorating. I’m a big advocate for taking a step back when selecting what items to bring into your home. Allowing yourself some time to find what you need and really like, rather than simply going for what the newest trends tells you to have. I like everything to either serve a purpose or bring me joy! 

What makes your home unique to you?

The house is really a reflection of Patrick and myself - a combination of Nordic farmhouse, English eclecticism, Renaissance design and French antiques. I spent my childhood scurrying between different countries - my father’s restaurant in Gothenburg, the countryside of Southern France where I spent every summer and the Italian seaside where I ate too much gnocchi and burrata. We were, therefore, determined to create something that was a melange of Patrick’s (who’s British) and my multicultural background.

Where do you get your interior inspiration?

It might sound cheesy and somewhat abstract, but my style is influenced by childhood memories, and that’s where I get my main inspiration from. The Italian tiles in our bathroom remind me of running barefoot in my aunt Maria’s Italian tiled kitchen.
