Meet Chris, founder of collectable art and design resource - Dudley Waltzer. 

Chris has an amazing eye for unique and incredibly cool vintage furniture, lighting and art objects. We caught up with Chris to find out more about what he looks for when sourcing, his favourite finds and how Dudley Waltzer has become a full time venture.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE DUDLEY WALTZER?

Dudley Waltzer is a collectable art & design resource. We provide a variety of unique design objects including furniture, lighting and art objects. 

I started Dudley Waltzer in 2012 after graduating from Art School. It was a bit of a side-hustle which snowballed into a full time job as my knowledge and passion for design grew. 

It was my grandfather's name :)

My sources could be anywhere from markets, auctions or the web. I basically have my eyes open for any interesting art and design. 

The focus is on simple forms with a playful edge blending all periods of art & design together. I value uniquely crafted works and well made design classics. Colour is also very important, I try to have a few brightly coloured statement pieces in at all times. 

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BEST SELLER?

My personal favourite and something which always sells are Manila Chairs by Val Padilla. They were used in a set on Killing Eve and ever since I've been obsessed. 

DO YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE FOR THOSE NEW TO SHOPPING DESIGNER RESALE?

Just buy what you love. If it's a little bit more than you wanted to spend just go the extra mile. You won't regret it!
