As many designers do, I often get inspired by the natural world, creating simplistic shapes and bold statement pieces that are joyful, playful and made to last. I also love experimenting with colour, using natural dyes to make slow textiles, with sustainability at its heart. When I create my pieces I always try and combine design with practicality, I want my pieces to be versatile and live a long life, as well as bring joy to someone's home.

How did you get into working with textiles?

I have always been a maker and studied textiles at Manchester Metropolitan University and then completed my Masters at The Royal College of Art. My love for textiles stemmed from my interest in embroidery from a young age, I found making such a great way to express my ideas and creativity. As I developed my practice and my skills, I began to work on making one off statement pieces, focusing on slow textiles. 

Who are some designers who inspire you? 

 I am a massive fan of LRNCE an amazing studio based in Marrakech, their use of bold colours and shapes create such a beautiful compositions and are so expressive and playful. I also find Jenny King a big inspiration, her embroidery and use of Irish embroidery machine is my go to inspiration.
